One of Lucero’s albums, 1372 Overton Park, is a great taste of what you’ll experience at the MSO Opus One concert. This album incorporates horns, at times blending that Americana folk rock style with a bit of a big band feel. It works. But don’t take my word for it — listen to this video and come on out to our concert on Thursday, May 3 at Minglewood Hall. I know the MSO brass section is going to love rocking to this music. How could you not love music that’s inspired by Memphis’ own Overton Park area, anyway?
